I just got home from having my Cryo nerve block procedure with Dr. William Gallivan's Orthopedic Institute of Santa Barbara office by his very capable assistant, Eileen Kelleher PA.
I am happy to say I feel 99% better than when I arrived at your office this afternoon.
As some of you know I have been dealing with this right knee issue for almost 20 years and now I have something to look forward to finally getting my worn out knee replaced with a hopefully quick recovery without the downside of opiates for pain management.

Dr. Gallivan is the best! He is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. He is also personable and takes the time to explain options thoroughly! In my opinion, there is no one better in Santa Barbara!

After having his x-ray technician take x-rays of two joints in which I experience pain, Dr. Gallivan took the time to listen to my concerns. Then he performed a series of non-invasive tests of my strength. He let me know what procedures he could do depending upon any future incapacity or any increasing pain on my part. One of his assistants took the time to wrote up a memorandum of the visit and give me a printed copy, which is a great help because I am getting older and my memory is beginning to slip.
He and his staff have always been wonderful to me. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs the kind of care that he provides.

Very pleased with my surgery which has healed well. I had hoped recovery would be a constant improvement but there have been some ups and downs with pain and flexibility but was told by Dr. Gallivan and PT that this is normal and the general trajectory is up! Everyone in the office is very kind and helpful!

I’ve had the opportunity to experience the best of care from Dr. Gallivan and his very professional and caring staff several times over the past decade. In all cases from knee replacement surgery to a rather difficult fall and recovery, he has offered good advice with a touch of humor and insights to consider about living a life where we GIVE to others in our community; he does this in his own life! I have noticed that his interests in so many aspects of life in and around Santa Barbara has opened doors to his practice for a wide range of patients who benefit from his skills as a surgeon and someone with well considered insights about living a healthy life. He is “with you” when you are his patient, and you feel comforted with the knowledge that he really cares about you!

I highly recommend the Orthopedic Institute of Santa Barbara, Dr Gallivan and the kind and caring staff made my hip replacement surgery a breeze. The pre and post surgery procedures were very well organized which made the process worry free. The facility is very high tech with a comfortable waiting room and the wait times are very short which make it a very pleasent experience.
I will be relying on Dr Gallivan and the Orthopedic Institute of Santa Barbara for all my future orthopedic needs and recommending them to everyone.
